Every person is unique. I am passionate about supporting people to navigate different parts of themselves and how they impact their relationship with their body and mind.
Marah received a dual master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and music therapy from Appalachian State University and is a Board Certified Music Therapist. She received her bachelor’s degree in music therapy from the University of Georgia. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families of various gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and racial-ethnic backgrounds from early childhood to end of life. Marah works with people to address a variety of presenting concerns, with a focus on compassionate curiosity, connection, and personal growth.
Some of her areas of focus include anxiety, perfectionism, eating disorders, relationship with body, trauma, couples, and neurodiversity. Marah recognizes that each person and relationship is unique. As a result, she aims to create an inclusive, collaborative, and compassionate environment for people as they explore the various parts of themselves and their relationships.
For the theory enthusiasts out there, she has an integrative approach pulling from various experiential, somatic, narrative, mindfulness-based, CBT, and ACT theoretical approaches to support clients to meet their goals.
Marah has completed the following training: Gottman Level 1, Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders Level 1, and 200-hour Yoga teacher training
