Karli Hager, LMFTA
Licensed marriage and family therapy associate
GOTTMAN LEVEL 1
True growth begins when we give ourselves permission to be seen, to feel deeply, and to be brave enough to change.
Karli earned her Bachelor’s Degree from UNC Chapel Hill, where she majored in both Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology. She earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Appalachian State University. Karli’s education and experience have equipped her to work with individuals, couples, and families from all walks of life. She works primarily with adult women in individual counseling and enjoys working with both monogamous and polyamorous relationships in couple’s counseling. She is Gottman Level 1 trained and specializes in premarital counseling, relationship issues, boundary setting, complex family dynamics, and big life transitions such as caretaking of a loved one, empty nesting, and becoming parents.
As humans, Karli believes that the most powerful thing we can offer ourselves is space; space to feel our emotions, to connect with the most important people in our lives, to heal, and to connect with our authentic selves. Working from a hands-on, collaborative approach, her hope is to provide you with the space you need to do these things, and to walk that journey with you as you do so. Through tailoring your treatment plan to your individual needs, Karli hopes to foster a relationship with you as her client that can be used as a model for your relationships outside of therapy. And she hopes to celebrate you for who you are, your little wins, and your big victories.
Beginning therapy can be intimidating and vulnerable, but if you choose to take the step and move forward in the process, Karli will be glad to meet for a consultation in which you can determine if you are a good fit for each other!
“I look forward to meeting you, and in case no one has told you today… I believe you!”
